There’s something CareCo understand better than most retailers in the UK.
Their customers aren’t browsing casually. They’re not picking up something on a whim. When someone walks into a CareCo showroom (one of their growing network of open-plan spaces across England, Wales and Scotland), they’re usually navigating a significant moment. A change in mobility. A new chapter. A decision that could genuinely improve their quality of life.
In that environment, the team on the floor carries real responsibility. They’re not just sales advisors, they’re trusted guides. And how they present themselves from the moment a customer walks through the door is part of the service CareCo delivers.
That’s the brief Taylor Made Designs was given. And it’s the kind of brief we relish.
Dressing the showroom floor
For CareCo’s retail teams, we developed a branded uniform range built around a core principle: professionalism that feels approachable, not clinical.
A branded polo shirt forms the foundation, clean, consistent, immediately identifiable as CareCo. Over that, a branded gilet adds a layer of warmth and structure for advisors moving between the showroom floor and customer demonstrations. And for cooler days or outdoor environments, a branded soft shell jacket complements the set, smart enough for a showroom, practical enough for anything the day throws at an advisor.
The layering isn’t accidental. CareCo’s team are on their feet, moving constantly, adapting to every customer interaction. The uniform needed to move with them, and to look considered at every layer, whether an advisor is wearing one piece or more.
Colour, fit and branding were all developed in close collaboration with the CareCo team to ensure the finished range felt authentically theirs…..an extension of the brand rather than an afterthought.
Safety, visibility and brand consistency in the warehouse
CareCo isn’t just a showroom business. Behind the retail experience is a substantial logistics operation, a 50,000 square foot warehouse in Essex, a nationwide delivery network, and a team of engineers who install products directly in customers’ homes.
For this part of the workforce, the requirements are different. Visibility and safety come first. But brand consistency still matters.
Taylor Made Designs developed a separate high-visibility range for CareCo’s warehouse and field teams: a high-vis t-shirt, a high-vis polo shirt, and a high-vis soft shell jacket, amongst the offer. As with the retail range, the layering principle runs throughout, giving team members the flexibility to adapt to temperature and environment without stepping outside the brand.
The result is a workforce that looks coherent from the warehouse floor to the customer’s doorstep. Whether it’s a showroom advisor in a branded soft shell or a delivery engineer in a high-vis polo, every member of the CareCo team is dressed to the same standard, and that consistency is a quiet but powerful signal of how seriously CareCo takes every part of their operation.
Two ranges. One brand. One partner.
What made this project particularly satisfying for the TMD team was its breadth. Retail and logistics. Customer-facing and operational. Soft shell and high-vis. Two very different working environments, unified by a single approach to branded uniform.
CareCo exists, in their own words, to help customers regain their independence. That’s a meaningful purpose, and it takes a well-equipped, well-presented team to deliver on it every day.
We’re proud to have played a part in that.
