SAY HI TO KERYN, SHANNON & OLLIE
As part of our ongoing quest to become more socially responsible we decided to open up our recruitment pool and offer three apprenticeships. Obviously it wasn’t completely altruistic; we were sold on tailoring the skillsets of each individual to exactly what our business needed and hopefully making an investment in both our futures.
We instructed an external company to monitor their progress and also to provide a mentoring service whilst working towards a Business Administration Certificate. They each had a mentor ‘in-house’ too and very much learnt on the job.
We’re happy to report that they have all passed with flying colours. Shannon is now our Purchasing Manager, Keryn is an Account Manager for the Marine, Cruise & Superyacht sector and Ollie assists Shannon with purchasing but also has his own clients and is solely responsible for taking care of the hundreds of customers that request our fabulous badges.
Recruiting apprentices has been a really positive experience for everyone at TMD HQ so much so we are on the look out for a fourth apprentice as Keryn will be leaving us in January when she starts her maternity leave!
